The 3rd Question.

What is God’s Love and Wrath? How is He an angry, jealous God, while He Himself is unchangeable Love? How can Love and Wrath be one and the same thing?

"Yes" and "No" are one thing, yet they divide into two centers. 3. 4. From the self-will arises the "No"; and the Unity is the outpouring "Yes." 5. 6. The self-will desires itself, 7. and it desires the Unity for movement, knowledge, and understanding; 8. It creates desire and is magnetic: just as the Unity is giving. 9. 10. The desiring will is the drawing-in, from which the first four forms are born, 11. 12. according to which God is a consuming fire; 13. and in the darkness, Hell is formed, as mentioned before original Latin: "ibid.". The first property of the drawing-in is the "No," 14. as the ground of Hell. 15. But the Love-fire in the fifth property is the ground of Light. 16. This Love and Light penetrate the Fire; 17. just as the burning of the fire makes the Love effective. 18. Thus, the Wrath-fire and Love-fire create two centers. 19. The Wrath-fire is the ground of eternal nature, 20. and the center of Love is the "Yes," in which the angelic and soulful spirit is understood; 21. just as the ground of souls and angels is understood in the eternal nature-fire. 22. The damnation of souls lies in selfhood: 23. as their gentle well-being lies in Love. 24. In this fire God dwells in His Trinity original German: "Dreyheit."; 25. and from this holy fire the "Yes," Jesus, has flowed forth. 26. In God there is no wrath. 27. These two, Love and Wrath, create two principles original Latin: "Principia." These are the two fundamental starting points or realms of existence., 28. 29. where the "Yes" of God and the "No" of wrath is the foundation. 30. The sixth form, 31. in which the holy names of God stand, 32. and the miracle-working deed according to both fires, 33. which is the foundation of Cabala A mystical interpretation of the Bible; Böhme uses it to describe the inner secrets of divine manifestation. and Magic original: "Magiä." For Böhme, this is the spiritual power of the will to act upon nature.. 34. The seventh form is substantiality original: "Wesenheit." This refers to the actual "body" or essence of the spiritual world., from which the visible world has sprung; 35. in all its beings are both central fires, 36. and within lies the holy fire hidden, and locked away by wrath. 37. This holy fire was Paradise, and must first be found within. 38. 39.
