Which shows (by way of a private letter to a person who was following the impulses of their Corrupt Nature) the miseries and misfortunes that sin has brought to man; and how from such a beautiful and perfect Creature, made in the Likeness of God, he has become through sin so ugly, ignorant, powerless, and wretched in Body and Spirit.

This Treatise will also teach (primarily in its Second Part) the Method and the means by which man can die to this corruption, in order to live again in the SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST original: "ESPRIT DE JESUS CHRIST." In Bourignon's theology, this refers to a literal internal transformation and a return to the purity of the early Christian church, rather than just an intellectual belief..
