Regarding the bibliography original: "Litteratur," here referring to the catalog and history of his published works of his writings, most of which are rare, I have added only what is most necessary. Everything collected on this subject by Herder, Schnurrer, Nicolai, and other admirers of Andreä will one day be presented to the public by Pastor Burk, enriched by his own diligent observations. (*)
I will mention one more circumstance here which Andreä himself (†) did not develop quite clearly. It seems, namely, that during his first theological examination held in the year 1612, the authorities were not entirely satisfied with his dogmatic knowledge, and he was therefore advised to return to the Seminary in Tübingen The Evangelisches Stift Tübingen, a famous theological college in Württemberg. for a while longer. For his first testimonial reads literally as follows:
“Master Johann Valentin Andreä, son original: "filius" of the late original: "seeligen" former Prelate of Königsbronn, was heard in a sermon on December 22, 1612...
