Regarding the aforementioned Stirzel, I have only now found the following note in Zapf’s Remarkable Findings from his Library original: "Zapfs Merkwürdigkeiten seiner Bibliothek", part 2, page 282. “Stirzel was born in Augsburg on April 12, 1591. His teacher in his home city was David Höschel. In the year 1609, he studied in Jena; in 1611, in Tübingen; and in 1613, in Altdorf. It is not known how he came to Rotenburg an der Tauber. Here he found his fortune, becoming a Councilman original: Rathsherr in 1624, and finally Mayor original: Bürgermeister, Consistorial Assessor original: Konsistorialbeisizer; a member of a church court., and School Superintendent original: Scholarche; he died on April 7, 1668. See also Freher’s Theater original: Theatr., page 1184. The aforementioned scholar possesses a collection of 400 letters that he wrote to various friends and had likely intended for publication. None of these is addressed to Andreä.”
Among the oratorical exercises of the Count of Castell, the following small book also belongs: Wolfgang Georg, Count and Lord of Castell’s Deliberation on the best method of acquiring wealth and the use of that which is acquired. Held in the Illustrious College in the year of Christ 1626. Tübingen, printed by Brunn. 12mo. original: "Wolf. Georgi Com. ac Dom. in Castell Consultatio de optimo parandarum opum modo & partarum usu. Habita in Ill. Collegio An. Chr. MDCXXVI. Tub. typis Brunnianis. 12."
