Kircher: Iter Exstaticum Coeleste (1660)

This work is small in size, but great in the weight of its subject matter, and truly greatest in the affection with which it is offered. Live, PRINCE, for a long time and happily for GOD, the Church, the Empire, the Fatherland, and for Yourself; and after the years of Nestor original: "annos Nestorios"; a classical reference to Nestor, the long-lived King of Pylos from the Iliad, symbolizing a wish for extreme longevity return to Heaven. Thus I vow from the heart at Würzburg original: "Herbipoli", the Latin name for the city of Würzburg, on the 8th day of September in the year 1660.
