This is the Anti-demon, in which the imposture of Demons, concerning Magic and Witchcraft, is plainly discovered. This is the Anti-sabbath, and the great Manifesto against Satan and his underlings. This is here the Sun which chases away the dark Eclipse of their Synagogue The author uses "synagogue" pejoratively to describe a gathering of witches, and all the clouds of this abomination. This is the Mirror, in which the Witches see themselves in their Sabbath unmasked and unveiled, to the end that everyone, seeing them with open eyes, may not only see them without terror, but rather denounce, accuse, and convict them, to make them suffer the fire, and the just penalties and torments they deserve.
And because, having already treated this same subject, I might rebuff the world if this second work were only taken for some repetition of the first: It is reasonable that I mark the difference that there is between the two: And that I most affectionately supplicate the Reader, if in doing so some repetition escapes me, to be willing to take it in good part: assuring myself that if he deigns to carry his eyes until the end, he will judge for himself, that it would have been a notable fault to omit and forget it.
