...the ability to raise dead bodies. Jesus understood this Realm of Supreme Ideas—or, as he termed it, "the kingdom of God within" (or among you)—and when he raised Lazarus, he called upon its power. When Martha spoke about a future resurrection, he said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." One who identifies their whole mind with this Ever-Present original: "Omnipresent" Mind becomes so unified original: "at-one" with it that they can overcome death.
The reality of the universe is held in the Mind of Being as ideas of life, love, substance, intelligence, truth, and so on. These ideas may be combined in a multitude of ways, producing an infinite variety in the realm of physical forms. There is a right combination, which constitutes the Divine Order—the kingdom of heaven on earth. This correct relationship of ideas, and the science of right thinking, will form an important part of the future lessons of this course.
Students of the Science of Being should start all their investigations and mental processes from this foundation of the One Mind. If you are skeptical about the existence of God, or are an abstract believer without having had any personal experience or conscious mental awakening that has given you proof, you should be very diligent in prayer, affirmation, and invocation The act of calling upon or appealing to a higher power for assistance or presence. Remember, God is not a king who forces his presence upon you whether you wish it or not, but an Ever-Present Mind enfolding and flowing through original: "interpenetrating" all things.
