If you would know the mystery of Being, see yourself within Being. Know yourself as an essential original: "integral" idea in the Divine Mind, and all other ideas will recognize you as their fellow worker. Exclude yourself from the Holy Trinity, and you become merely an observer original: "on-looker". Place yourself into this Trinity, and you become the channel original: "avenue" through which it expresses itself. Religious people know this Trinity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; to the metaphysician, it is Mind, Idea, and Expression. These three are One. Each sees itself as including the other two, yet, in the act of creation, they appear separate. Jesus, the model for humanity original: "the type man", placed himself within the Godhead and said, “He who has seen me has seen the Father” John 14:9. But recognizing the supremacy of the Spiritual Principle which he was demonstrating, he also said, “The Father is greater than I” John 14:28.
Reducing the Trinity to simple numbers takes away much of its mystery. When we say there is one Being with three attitudes of mind, we have stated in plain
