The method by which the sacred names of the Spirits original: "Spirituum nomina" are correctly and solemnly drawn out consists in the arrangement of vowels, which form the name of the spirit and by which a proper and ritually sounding name is established. This craft is performed in the following way: first, in placing the vowels of those letters which are found through the calculation of the Celestial figure a horoscope or astrological chart, one must pay attention to drawing out the names of the spirits of the second order, both the good and the evil presiding governors.
And this, among the good spirits, is performed thus: having considered the stars which constitute the letters and having placed them in order, first subtract the degree of the eleventh house from the degree of the star which is first in the order; and that which remains from there, project it from the degree of the Ascendant the degree of the zodiac rising on the eastern horizon. And where that number ends, there is the location of the vowel for the first letter. Begin therefore from that point to project the vowels A, E, I, O, U of those letters according to their number and order; and whichever vowel falls upon the place of the star which is first in the order, that vowel is attributed to the first letter.
Next, you may find the location of the second letter by subtracting the degree of the star which is second in the order from the prior star; and that which remains, project from the Ascendant. And this is the part from which you begin the projection of the vowels:
