According to the Egyptians, however, the name of the Genius is collected according to the Almutel the ruling star or planet with the most dignity of the twelfth house, which they call the Evil Daemon. And all these rites, along with others that we have provided in the third book of Of Occult Philosophy, can be performed through the characters of any language: since in all of these (as we said above) there is an inherent mystical and divine Number, Order, and Figure. From this it happens that the same Genius can be called by diverse names. Others, however, are extracted from the name of the spirit itself, whether good or evil, through tables formed for this purpose.

Celestial Caracteres characters or sigils consist of lines and Heads. There are six Heads, corresponding to the six magnitudes of stars, to which the planets are also reduced: The first magnitude, with the Sun, holds a star or a cross. The second, with Jupiter, a circular point. The third, with Saturn, a semicircle, triangle, or a hook that is round or sharp. The fourth, with Mars, a rod penetrating a line, or a square that is straight or oblique. The fifth, with Venus and Mercury, a rod or a tailed point, ascending.
