The precession original: "ayana" (293. 20-270) = has advanced by 23 degrees and 20 minutes. This means that compared to the time of the author of the Samhitas referring to ancient Vedic astronomical texts, the seasons in Varaha's time were changing 23 degrees and 20 minutes earlier. In English mathematics, this movement is called the Precession of the Equinoxes original: "samratridivabindu" or "krantipata". According to Western mathematical calculations, the annual rate of precession is 50.1 seconds; therefore, an advancement of 23-20 degrees indicates a passage of 1676 years. For this reason, according to Western calculations, there appears to be a difference of this many years between the two astronomers. Once the time of Varahamihira a 6th-century Indian astronomer and polymath is firmly established, it will be possible to determine exactly when Parashara an ancient sage and astronomer lived.
Now we must observe how many degrees the precession has moved forward from the time of Varahamihira to the present day. By examining the almanacs term: "panjika" - traditional Hindu astronomical calendars of Bengal, it is known that at the start of the Shaka year 1815 approximately 1893 CE, the precession had advanced 20-54-36 seconds. This means that in the present time, all seasons begin that many degrees earlier than in Varaha's time. Since the current zodiac signs have been determined, a relationship has been established between the signs and the months. Therefore, by adding the degrees of precession term: "ayanansha" - the longitudinal difference between the tropical and sidereal zodiacs to the zodiac signs, the true position of the sun for the present time is proven.

Therefore, by setting the annual rate of motion at 54 seconds, 1394 years have passed since the precession reached the degrees recorded in the Bengali papers. Thus, according to said papers, the time of Varaha and the author of the Surya Siddhanta is known to be the Shaka year 421 approx. 499 CE. Different almanacs in our country provide different degrees of precession. According to some, the precession for the current year is 22-53. According to others, it is 22-31. Some opinions differ from the Bengali papers...
