I deemed it appropriate to create a vernacular commentary original: "bhashatika"; a translation or explanation in the common language, likely Hindi in this context, to make Sanskrit technical terms accessible on this work. By consulting this, even those who only possess a basic knowledge of the almanac original: "panchang"; the traditional Hindu calendar used to track celestial movements will be able to understand the determination of auspicious timing Muhurta: the selection of the most beneficial time to begin an activity to ensure success in an excellent manner. Furthermore, it will provide great ease for both teachers and students.
Although a vernacular commentary of this text has been printed previously, the reason for undertaking this effort once again will be understood by learned readers and wise scholars upon examining the essence of this commentary. They will see how a simple, clear, and fluent meaning has been revealed, strictly following the original intention of the Master Author. Thoughtful and virtuous people will, with great pleasure, find this labor—undertaken for the benefit of others—to be successful and meaningful.
