If we had known beforehand of the actions karma that have now manifested through the Sun, we would have taken measures against them. Since the Sun is the indicator here, we must perform the Vedic-prescribed pacification rites shanti for the Sun as a means of neutralizing that karma. Is this pacification for the Sun itself, or for the accumulated bad karma? Just as the fruits of karma were made known through the Sun, it is appropriate to seek the remedy through the Sun as well.
In this, there is a twofold benefit. First, there is the pain of suddenly losing wealth that was earned with great effort; if that loss happens by one's own hand through the Sun's planetary period Surya-dasha as a known karmic result, there will be no subsequent regret. The second benefit is that whatever pacification is performed according to Vedic and Scriptural methods will be counted as the neutralization of karma, bringing joy to the mind, rewarding goodness, and being categorized as "righteous expenditure."
If we do not follow the prescribed methods, the expenditure will be "unrighteous" (wealth that never serves a purpose again) and will cause mental distress at that time—such as money spent on doctors, fines, theft, or losses from fire and floods. In these cases, the fruit of karma is still received. Karma is neutralized through action, and in this, the purification of the mind is primary. Karma-vasana The latent desires or impressions left by past actions even grants rebirth for the sake of experiencing those results.
Currently, the intellect of the common person is so confused that they believe the body and birth did not exist before and will not exist again; they think the five elements will simply return to their respective places. They ask, "Who takes birth again? No one has ever returned after death to say they were born before or will be born again." This delusion is false. They say "Life" is just the name of the air prana, and it too merges back into the atmosphere. From a physical perspective, nothing remains to take birth, but the fundamental knowledge is this: the impressions vasana of the actions in which the body was engaged remain in seed form. According to those seeds, another manifestation of the five elements is created by the power of those impressions to experience the fruits of karma. There are many proofs for this and much to be said. I intend to write about this subject in greater detail under the pretext of translating some other text.
The first branch of the Vedic eye, the science of Astrology, concerns the fruits of birth...
