original: "Sarvartha Chintamani" translates to "The Wishing-Gem of All Purposes." It is a foundational 13th-century Sanskrit treatise on predictive astrology (Jyotisha) composed by Venkatesha Sharma.
It is traditional in Sanskrit manuscripts to begin with an invocation to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, to ensure the successful completion of the work.
