...from the measurement. Divide by 30; the result obtained is the degree of the Mandi-vatiA specific mathematical point used in calculating the sub-planet Mandi. One should then calculate the precise position here, just as one does for the Ascendant. || 95 || From the PakeshaThe lord of the planetary period or Dasha currently in operation, if the lord of the sub-period is situated in the 8th, 6th, or 12th house from it, he becomes an enemy. If he is in the 11th, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 9th, or 10th house, and associated with a planet, he is called "Very Auspicious." However, a planet associated with the 7th house from him is said to give inauspicious results; this is the established order of the planets. || 96 || A celestial body associated with malefic planets becomes an enemy; yet, depending on its placement, even a malefic can be called "Very Auspicious" if it grants good results. The sages, having reflected upon the results according to position and knowing the path of the planets, speak for the ultimate success of the worlds. || 97 || This Chapter on Definitions has been described, extracting the essence from all the sciences for the benefit of all people. Whatever Venkatesha has understood, he should apply all of that to the planetary periods and their results. || 98 ||
Since various appropriate results arise from the houses, and because the intellects of others are bound by the technicalities of different treatises, I shall describe those very results arising from planetary combinations. Having examined them with my intellect, I do this for the delight of the learned. || 1 || All houses associated with or aspected by auspicious lords or natural benefics grant their full results, provided they are free from the sight or association of malefic planets. Even if all the lords of the houses are malefics, they are said to grant auspicious results if the planets are not in debilitation, combustion, or in an enemy's sign. || 2 || If malefic planets or the lords of those houses are in the 6th, 8th, or 12th houses original: "ripu-randhra-ripha" from the Ascendant or any other house, they do not grant full results. The wise speak of the results of the houses in this manner. || 3 || Whichever house lord is in the 6th, 8th, or 12th, or if the lord of a "bad house" dusthana is situated in a particular house...
