From the wrath of the protector of the earth original: "kshitipala"; refers to the King or government, one should predict the destruction of various types of wealth for men, as well as displacement from one's position and opposition from one's own beloved people. || 21 || During the sub-period original: "apahara-kale" of malefic planets, or during the major periods original: "dashasu" of a malefic planet itself, wealth, honor, children, and siblings come to ruin; however, if influenced by benefics, these faults do not occur. || 22 || When a beautiful celestial body a benefic planet is the lord of the house of wealth, one attains the gain of wealth during its ripening period the planetary period. During the sub-periods of benefic planets, there will likewise be the joy of children and eloquence of speech. || 23 || If a malefic planet is the lord of the house of valor the 3rd house and is associated with other malefics, then during the sub-periods of malefic sky-goers planets, suffering arrives through fire, weapons, and thieves, even if the planet is generally capable of giving good results. || 24 ||

Suffering arises from strife, anger, fire, thieves, and kings, along with mental dullness and extreme hardship. During the period of the lord of the house of siblings the 3rd house if it is a malefic, these occur; but if it is aspected by a benefic, such results do not manifest here. || 25 || During the period of the lord of the house of courage the 3rd house, and during the sub-periods of those other than gentle planets malefics, one should predict the destruction of siblings and, specifically, opposition from one's own brothers. || 26 || During the period of the lord of the field the 4th house, governing land and property if it is not a benefic, and during the sub-periods of malefic planets, one suffers displacement from one's position and the loss of kinsmen; this also occurs during the sub-periods of planets that are in their sign of debilitation or are combust hidden by the sun's glare. || 27 ||

Confusion of the intellect and the consumption of bad food occur during the period of the lord of the house of children the 5th house if it is a malefic planet. One should predict this for men during such sub-periods; but if it is a benefic planet, it will not be so. || 28 || Distress from kings, fire, and thieves occurs during the ripening of the period of the lord of wounds the 6th house, governing illness and enemies. During the sub-periods of non-benefics, one also encounters hardship through urinary diseases original: "prameha", abdominal tumors original: "gulma", consumption tuberculosis, and bile-related illnesses. || 29 || During the period of a malefic planet that is the lord of the wife the 7th house, there is opposition from one's wife or even her death, travel to foreign lands, and difficulty in passing excrement and urine, as well as the wrath of the king. || 30 || During the period of the lord of the house of death the 8th house, in the sub-periods of the Lord of Serpents Rahu, Mars, and Saturn...
