If the Moon resides in the signs of Taurus, Cancer, or Aries in the first house, it makes one a leader of many treasures, filled with joy and beauty. However, if it resides in other signs in the first house, the body becomes lean, and the person becomes poor, dull-witted, blind, or deaf. ||1||
Commentary — If the Moon is in the signs of Taurus, Cancer, or Aries and is situated in the first house the "Tanu-bhava" or house of the body/self, then that man will become a great treasurer Khajindar: a high-ranking official in charge of wealth. His physical appearance will be very handsome, and he will be joyful. But if the Moon is in any sign other than these three while in the first house, then that man will be lowly, have squinted eyes, be impoverished, foolish, and deaf.
When the Moon is in the house of wealth, there is gain of grain, great physical comfort, and pleasures with women. He has little worry for his family, and even celestial maidens are captivated by his mere sight. ||2||
Commentary — If the Moon is in the second house the "Dhana-sthana" or house of wealth, there will be a gain of grain and harvest. He will experience great happiness through his body and will enjoy many pleasures with women. His anxiety regarding his family will be very slight, and even celestial nymphs Devangana: divine or heavenly maidens will be enchanted by his mere appearance.
When the Moon is in the third house, wealth is gained through valor alone. He becomes an ascetic, even if honored by the king. His actions are naturally thoughtful, and his glory shines brightly like a banner of righteousness. ||3||
