original: "Chamatkara Chintamani"
...he will obtain wealth in due course. Even while enjoying the company of women, he will leave them to become an ascetic. He will receive immense happiness from his siblings. And through his charitable nature, his valor will become very bright—that is to say, famous.
When the Moon original: "Atrijanma," literally 'born of the sage Atri' is in the house of friends, he becomes a high-ranking official in the royal palace. He does not experience such happiness in the earlier part of his life, but he receives excellent joy from his children and women. || 4 ||
Commentary — If the Moon is in the fourth house The text uses "Suhrut-sthana" or the place of friends/heart, referring to the 4th house in Vedic astrology, the individual will become a great official in the royal court through the influence of his friends. He will not have such happiness in the first half of his life, but he will find great satisfaction through his sons and wife.
When the Lord of the Stars original: "Nakshatranath," a title for the Moon is in the fifth house, there is great satisfaction regarding progeny. His intellect becomes pure, and he gains gems and land through various business ventures involving interest and lending. || 5 ||
Commentary — If the Moon is in the fifth house from the rising sign, there will be great joy from children. His intellect will be clear and untainted. He will obtain gems and land. He will also acquire wealth through money-lending and other related businesses.
When the Moon shines in the house of enemies, he appears like a king even in conflict. Though many enemies may arise, they are defeated. Before him, even numerous foes wander in confusion; his valor is bright, yet his temperament is like his mother's, not harsh. || 6 ||
Commentary — If the Moon is in the sixth house original: "Shatru-bhava," the house of enemies, the person will shine like a king even through warfare or disputes. Even if many enemies cause him trouble, they will be defeated.
