Glory of the ocean and the sky, hallowed in both, 13

And he ends at Andromeda, whom he rescues with full strength original: "plenis armis," literally "with full weapons," referring to Perseus's rescue of Andromeda from the sea monster
And joins to himself: whom he follows, though at an uneven 13

From its peers, a constellation by the name of Deltoton The Triangle (Triangulum), named for its resemblance to the Greek letter Delta.
So called from its likeness; and Cepheus and Cassiopeia—
She leaves the bright orb of the sun behind in the void.

This star, when it first returns at its earliest rising,
Is observed from the high peak of Mount Taurus; The Taurus mountains in modern Turkey, a traditional site for ancient astronomical observation
They say the seasons foretell the various outcomes of the crops: 13

It brings wars and returns peace, and returning in various ways 13
It moves so that the world sees and governs by its appearance.
Great is the belief in this power, its color and its glittering paths, 13
In its rays scarcely smaller than the sun, for though clinging far off, 13
It twists its cold lights with a dark-blue face. This likely refers to the Dog Star, Sirius (Canis Major), whose "cold" or "searing" light was believed by the ancients to influence the health of humans and the success of agriculture
The others excel in beauty; yet no clearer star
Is dipped in the ocean or returns to the sky from the waves.
Then Procyon The "Before-the-Dog" star, which rises just before Sirius and the swift Hare; then the noble Argo, 13
Drawn up into the sky from the sea, which was the first ship to sail.
Having earned its rest after being driven by great storms, it holds the heavens,
Made a goddess by protecting the gods The ship Argo was often portrayed as a sacred vessel that carried the demigod heroes: next to whom is the Snake. Hydra, the Water-Snake
