PsychophysicsA term coined by Fechner for the exact science of the functional relations between the body and the soul, or more specifically, the relationship between physical stimuli and mental sensations.
Fechner (1801–1887) was a German philosopher, physicist, and experimental psychologist. This work is considered the founding text of modern experimental psychology.
