it perishes regarding others: and if Mars has not looked upon Venus: the Newborn will be released and free from his parents' protrusionlikely referring to a difficult or breech birth. ¶ When any of the Beibenie starsfrom the Arabic 'al-biya-banni', referring to fixed stars of the first magnitude used in medieval astrology of the first magnitude and of the nature of Jupiter and Venus are in the ascendant or in the midheaven: the Newborn will be chaste and free from every sodomitical crime: Generous, Pious, Good, and of good reputation.

¶ On the effeminacy of the newborn. Chapter 39.

When Venus and Saturn are with the Moon or look upon it: the newborn will be proud and boastful, especially if they are elevated. ¶ When Mercury, Jupiter, and Mars are looking at the Moon together: the newborn will be of great spirit and a speaker of great things. ¶ When the Moon, separated from Saturn, binds to Mercury: the newborn will be magnanimous and without shame. ¶ When [the planet] is in its own house and in the term of Mars and binds to the Sun in opposition from the 7th house, the newborn will be of a proud spirit and will seek to appear great: and because of this, he will dress himself well.

When Mars is fortunate in a daytime birth in the 4th house: the newborn will eat greedily and thereby incur illnesses. ¶ When [a sign] is ascending and Mars is there and the Sun looks upon him with a good aspect: the newborn will be a greedy eater. ¶ When Mars is the lord of the ascendant and in the 2nd house and in a fiery sign: the newborn will eat greedily. ¶ When Venus is in the first face of Leo and in a bad place and the Sun looks upon her with a good aspect, the newborn will be a great eater.

¶ On the weightiness or gravity and quietude of newborns. Chapter 51.

When the Part of Fortune falls in Capricorn: the newborn will be quiet and will act with deliberation. ¶ When the Moon with Saturn is in the ascendant or midheaven: and Jupiter looks upon her: the newborn will be quiet. ¶ When Jupiter is in the ascendant and Saturn looks upon him, and Mars: and its lord is falling in the ascendant: the newborn will be weighty and quiet. ¶ When the Moon, without the aspect of Mars, is with Jupiter in a fixed sign: the newborn will be weighty and quiet: and this more strongly if she is with Jupiter in any of the anglesthe 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th houses.
