Then, starting from the first day of the lunar fortnight... the fifth day is declared as the completion of that group of four. // 17 // For Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio, the lunar days begin from the sixth in sequence. The tenth day is the completion for that group of four. Similarly, starting from the eleventh day // 18 // for the four signs beginning with Sagittarius, the Full Moon original: "Pūrṇā" is the median. A lunar day associated with a zodiac sign occupied by a malefic planet is not auspicious. // 19 //

Now, the specific activities for each lunar day:

Marriage ceremonies, festivals, journeys, consecrations term: Pratiṣṭhā; the ritual of "breathing life" into a temple deity, and architectural work term: Vāstu; the science of sacred architecture—one should perform the tonsure ceremony term: Caula; the first ritual haircut of a child and such on the first lunar day of the dark fortnight, but not on the first day of the bright fortnight. // 20 //

State affairs, marriage, and other auspicious ceremonies, architecture, and the thread ceremony term: Vratabandha; the initiation ritual for students and consecrations are recommended on the second lunar day. // 21 //

The first feeding of solid food to a child term: Annaprāśana, music, education, the parting of the hair ceremony term: Sīmānta; a ritual for pregnant women, and craftsmanship—everything prescribed for the second day is also praised on the third day. // 22 //

The killing or binding of enemies, and the use of poison, weapons, or fire should be performed on the fourth day; however, auspicious ceremonies should never be done then. // 23 //

All auspicious deeds, whether stable or moving, reach great success on the fifth day, with the exception of taking out loans. // 24 //

By avoiding the use of tooth-sticks traditional twigs used for brushing teeth, travel, and oil massages, one finds success in craftsmanship, protection rituals, architecture, and ornamentation on the sixth day. // 25 //
