Muhurta Ganapati 8
Activities involving elephants, marriage ceremonies, music, and the acquisition of fine clothing; travel, entering a new home, and battles—all these shall meet with success on the seventh lunar day Saptami. (26)

Dancing, matters concerning women, gems, and ornaments; battles and the bearing of weapons; and works of architecture or craftsmanship—these tasks shall attain perfection on the eighth day Ashtami. (27)
Confrontation, quarrels, gambling, and the use of intoxicants; hunting, and actions involving poisons, fire, or weapons—these shall find success on the ninth day Navami; this day is traditionally considered "fierce" or "cruel" and thus suited for such activities. (28)
Auspicious works such as marriage, the wearing of ornaments, travel, and entering a home; and matters concerning elephants, horses, or royalty—these are accomplished on the tenth day Dashami. (29)
The thread ceremony Vratabandha; the initiation into Vedic study, marriage, dealing with groups, craftsmanship, and festivals for the gods; coming and going, and putting on decorations—these are praised on the eleventh day Ekadashi. (30)
Activities of both a moving and fixed nature, marriage, and the thread ceremony should be performed on the twelfth day Dwadashi; however, one should avoid oil massages and travel. (31)
Travel, entering a home, battle, and the donning of clothes and ornaments are auspicious; with the exception of the thread ceremony, other auspicious acts are suited to the thirteenth day Trayodashi. (32)
One should perform "cruel" deeds involving poison, binding, fire, and weapons on the fourteenth day Chaturdashi; avoid auspicious works, shaving Kshauram, and travel. (33)
Marriage and auspicious rites, ornaments, craftsmanship, the consecration of idols Pratishtha, and sacrificial rituals; battle and household tasks—all are successfully achieved on the Full Moon day Purnima. (34)
The establishment of the sacred fire, great acts of charity, and rituals for the ancestors Pitri-yaga—these stated deeds should be performed; other auspicious actions are not recommended on the New Moon Darsha/Amavasya. (35)

On the New Moon, the sixth day, the eleventh day, and on the day of the Sun Sunday; and on the first day of the lunar fortnight after the first watch—on these days, one should not perform dental hygiene Danta-dhavana; traditionally using a fresh twig. (36)
On the tenth, seventh, new moon, second, and ninth days one should avoid bathing with Amla fruit.
