The motion obtained by division is 3;59 original: "gatiḥ". This refers to the daily angular velocity of a planet. Now, the calculation for the true position of Rahu The North Node of the Moon. On the first day of the dark fortnight of the month of Jyeshtha, at 13;26 ghatis/palas, it entered the second quarter of the Krittika constellation. The remaining time to be passed is 46;35 ghatis. The interval between the first and fourteenth lunar days is 12 days, which equals 720 ghatis. The desired time is 8;58. The sum of all these is 776;32. Now, for the calculation of the total duration of the constellations: the previously obtained remaining time of 46;35, and further until the 5th day of the dark fortnight of Shravana at 6;35 ghatis, which marks the end of the quarter. The interval between these is 62 days, which equals 3720 ghatis. The sum of all these gives the total constellation time as 3773;13.
Rahu is always retrograde original: "vakra", meaning moving backward through the zodiac; therefore, because of its reverse motion, the reference planet is 11 signs, 12 degrees. The target planet is 10 signs, 0 degrees. The difference in degrees between them is 312;0;0. This is multiplied by the elapsed desired time and divided by the total constellation time. The result in degrees, etc., obtained by reverse calculation is 0;51;16. Because of the retrograde motion, this is subtracted from the reference planet (11;12;0;0), resulting in the true Rahu: 11 signs, 2 degrees, 38 minutes, and 54 seconds. The motion is 3;11, which is always constant. Rahu plus six signs becomes Ketu The South Node of the Moon, always 180 degrees opposite Rahu: 7 signs, 2 degrees, 38 minutes, and 54 seconds.
Motion: 0; 3;11. Now, all the planets for the desired time have been placed on the status sheet for ease of use; however, the actual values should be understood by performing the calculations. Jupiter and Saturn...| Sun | Moon | Mars | Merc | Jup | Ven | Sat | Rahu | Ketu | True Planets |
