This describes the method for the Trine Reduction Sanskrit: Trikona Shodhana; a process of simplifying astrological points based on the three signs belonging to the same element for each of the eight charts mentioned in the Ashtakavarga Jataka. The first, fifth, and ninth houses are mutually trine houses. Among these trines, whatever value is the lowest should be subtracted from all three.
