Translator's Note: It is common for the first few pages of ancient manuscripts to suffer the most wear. Here, the passage of time and the environment have rendered the text nearly invisible.
Physical Description: The folio shows significant "bleed-through," where the ink from the reverse side has seeped through the paper, creating a confusing overlay of ghost-like characters. There are also visible holes and dark stains, possibly from water or organic decay, located in the center of the page.
[The entire page consists of approximately 20 to 25 lines of faint writing in the Devanagari script. Due to the severe fading of the ink and the discoloration of the handmade paper, the specific Sanskrit verses cannot be transcribed or translated. These lines likely contained the traditional opening invocation to the deities and the introduction to the astronomical calculations.] ?
