If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

We experience immense joy in presenting this revised, modified, and enlarged edition of Uttara Kalamrita A classic 17th-century Sanskrit treatise on Hindu astrology, traditionally attributed to Kalidasa to our learned readers, featuring a new format and delightful presentation.
The enthusiasm with which readers embraced the previous edition, and the open-hearted praise our efforts received from astrologers Jyotirvid: a scholar or knower of the stars/astrology across India—particularly from those in South India—encouraged us to venture into making this work even more useful and accessible. The late astrologer Mr. Jagannath Bhasin was the first to present this work to Hindi-speaking readers in his simple and easy-to-understand linguistic style. Following the maxim "even the most careful traveler may stumble" original: "Gacchatah skhalanam kvapi" — a Sanskrit proverb suggesting that errors are natural in any great undertaking, our generous readers brought certain printing errors in the previous edition to our attention. We express our deep gratitude for their kindness and, while fully honoring their suggestions, we dedicate this work once again to them.
We have full hope and confidence that learned readers will certainly feel a sense of satisfaction with this new edition and will continue to encourage us as they have in the past.
