The Ida is known to be on the left, and the Pingala is remembered on the right. The Ida channel is situated on the left side, and the Pingala is its opposite. (49)
Meaning— The Ida The lunar, cooling energy channel is said to be in the left part, and the Pingala The solar, heating energy channel in the right. The Ida channel is located in the form of the left, and the Pingala is situated inversely on the right. (49)
The Moon is situated in the Ida, and the Sun in the Pingala. The Sushumna The central channel of the spine is in the form of Shiva, and Shiva is in the form of the Hamsa Literally 'Swan'; a mantra representing the sound of the breath. (50)
Meaning— The Moon resides in the Ida and the Sun in the Pingala. The Sushumna is situated in the form of the Hamsa, and the Hamsa is situated in the form of Shiva The auspicious or pure consciousness. (50)
The sound 'Ha' is said to be for the exit [exhalation], and with the sound 'Sa' is the entry [inhalation]. The 'Ha' sound is the form of Shiva, and the 'Sa' sound is called Shakti The divine feminine energy or power. (51)
Meaning— In the exiting of the breath, the 'Ha' syllable is spoken, and in the entry, the 'Sa' syllable. The 'Ha' syllable is called the form of Shiva, and the 'Sa' syllable is called the form of Shakti. (51)
The Moon, flowing through the left channel, is situated in the form of Shakti. The Sun, flowing through the right channel, is the form of Shiva. (52)
Meaning— And the Moon, the flow of the left channel, is situated in the form of Shakti; and the Sun (the burning one), the flow of the right channel, is situated in the form of Shiva. (52)
When the breath is established in the 'Sa' syllable, whatever charity is given by the wise, that gift in this world of living beings shall be multiplied ten million times. (53)
