With Language Commentary

Meaning—When the breath is situated in the sound Sakar original: "सकार"; refers to the 'Sa' sound associated with the inhalation or the lunar breath, any charity given by a wise person at that moment yields ten million times the fruit in this world of living beings. || 53 ||

The yogi, with a one-pointed and composed original: "समाहित" (Samahita); a state of deep concentration or being collected mind, should observe through this very method. He should understand everything through the paths of the Moon and the Sun. || 54 ||

One should meditate upon the Tattva original: "तत्त्व"; the true essence or the five elements of existence only when the life-force (breath) is steady, and never when it is unsteady. By doing so, one achieves the fulfillment of their desires, great profit, and victory. || 55 ||

Those men who always practice the synchronization of the Moon and Sun breaths gain knowledge of the past and the future as if it were held in the palm of their hand original: "हस्तगत" (Hastagat); meaning readily available or perceived clearly. || 56 ||

The left-side channel (Ida original: "इडा"; the lunar energy channel associated with cooling and nurturing) is of the nature of nectar and is the supreme nourisher of the world. Through the right-side portion, the world is always energized and activated. || 57 ||
