The left channel nourishes the entire world, while the Pingala The solar channel on the right side nadi of the right side constantly creates the world. || 57 ||

The middle channel is cruel and harmful in all undertakings. In all auspicious works, the left channel is the giver of success. || 58 ||

Meaning— And the middle (Sushumna) The central channel of the subtle body nadi is harsh and ill-omened in all actions, while the left (Ida) nadi is the bestower of success in all virtuous deeds. || 58 ||

The left is auspicious during departure, and the right is auspicious during entry. The Moon should always be known as even, and the Sun as always odd. || 59 ||

Meaning— And at the time of going out, the left nadi is favorable, and at the time of entering, the right is auspicious. One should always understand the Moon associated with the left nadi to be "even" and the Sun associated with the right nadi to be "odd." || 59 ||

The Moon is female, the Sun is male; the Moon is fair, and the Sun is dark. During the flow of the Moon nadi, one should perform gentle works. || 60 ||

Meaning— Know the Moon to be feminine and the Sun to be masculine; the Moon is of a fair complexion and the Sun is of a dark complexion. When the flow of the Moon's nadi is active, one should perform gentle and peaceful tasks. || 60 ||

During the flow of the Sun nadi, one should perform fierce deeds. Through the flow of the Sushumna, one gains the fruits of both worldly enjoyment and liberation. || 61 ||

Meaning— And during the flow of the Sun nadi, one should carry out fierce (harsh) actions. During the flow of the Sushumna, one should perform actions that grant the fruits of both worldly enjoyment and spiritual liberation. || 61 ||
