The four signs starting with Aries, along with Sagittarius and Capricorn, are known as powerful at night (10). Excluding Gemini, these five are known by the wise as rising from the rear. Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Capricorn, and Sagittarius (11) are remembered as rising from the rear; these five are not auspicious for starting a journey. The four signs starting with Leo, along with Aquarius and Gemini, are powerful during the day (12). These rise from the head; however, Pisces is powerful both at night and during the day. The waning Moon, the Sun, Mars, Rahu The North Node of the Moon., Saturn, and Shikhi Ketu, the South Node of the Moon. are malefic (13). Mercury, when joined with these, is also malefic. A Hora is said to be half of a sign. The Sun, Moon, Mars, and Jupiter; and Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Rahu (14) are four mutual friends in their own groups, and are considered enemies to the other group. The Sun is exalted in Aries, the Moon in Taurus, and Mars in Capricorn (15). Mercury is exalted in Virgo, Jupiter in Cancer, and Venus in Pisces. Saturn is exalted in Libra, and the son of Simhika Rahu in Gemini (16). A planet in the seventh house from its exaltation is in its sign of fall debilitation, or likewise in that ninth-part. One born under such influences becomes a seeker, an enjoyer, wealthy, a leader, or the ruler of a province (17). One becomes a King or a Universal Emperor when the Sun and other planets are in their exaltation houses. With three planets in their own signs, one becomes a minister; with three in exaltation, a ruler of men (18). With three in their fall, one becomes a servant.
