The Moonlight of the Ascendant

If even a single powerful planet—Mercury, Jupiter, or Venus—is situated in a quadrant Kendra: the 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th houses, the child born therein becomes wealthy and a master of the Vedas original: "Vedaparaga"; one who has "crossed" or fully mastered the sacred scriptures. 84

If two or three benefic planets are in their sign of debilitation Nicha: the sign where a planet is weakest or in the house of expenditure Vyayabhava: the 12th house, the person becomes wealthy. However, if they are in the sixth or the eighth house, the person becomes a beggar. 85

If a planet is in its sign of debilitation at birth, but the ruler of that sign or the ruler of its exaltation sign is in a quadrant or a trine Trikona: the 1st, 5th, or 9th houses, the person will become a righteous king and a universal emperor original: "Dharmika Chakravarti". 86

A person born with a malefic planet in the sixth house destroys their enemies. With a benefic in the sixth, they are always sickly. If the Moon is in the sixth house, it brings death. 87

In the third house from the Ascendant, if the son of the Moon Mercury is placed, two sons and three daughters are born; of this there is no doubt. 88

When powerful Jupiter original: "Vachaspati"; Lord of Speech is in the third house from the Ascendant, five sons are born to that human being. 89

When Saturn and the Moon are situated in the third house from the Ascendant, the child has a dark complexion and is born without brothers. 90

When powerful Venus is in the third house from the Ascendant, two daughters and three sons are certainly born to them. 91

When the Moon is joined with Rahu the North Node of the Moon in the third house from the Ascendant, the child will have no brothers, yet will be possessed of great fortune original: "Lakshmivan"; like the goddess of wealth. 92

If the son of the Earth Mars is in the third or the fifth house from the Ascendant, the person—whether a woman or a man—dies from the grief of losing a son. 93
