Do not allow the destruction of the house original: "mā di ho ḍa nāṣṭa hāṇi". The nature of the building should be prosperous, possessing three levels and thirty halls original: "triśālaṃ", serving as a residence for the gods and endowed with auspiciousness. || 1 || From the dwelling of Fortune original: "Śrī-vasataḥ", the bearer of Fortune the deity Sridhara increases by one. In the house of the Vedas and beautiful speech, the feet of Fortune are established. Even if one is at the end of their journey, they shall rise within this temple. The melodies of the scriptures Vedas are heard here, accompanied by the sound of the drum. From the moon to the thirty gods, the guardians of the directions protect the house. Without these, there is no stability. || 2 || Thus ends the section on the nine-fold dwellings for the thirty gods.

The nine-fold system is spoken of as having halls of three types: great, medium, and small. In the corner, one should place the Moon. In the middle of the nine-fold house, all is joyful. For those who possess wisdom, the fragrance of flowers and honey resides there. || 1 || From the Malaya mountains comes the wind the southern breeze, increasing the strength of the wise. In the east, one should arrange the openings. In the south, the truth is established. By the division of the day, it is known as the "Lord of Serpents" Ananta/Shesha design. || 2 || A curved structure with four joys is auspicious in every way. In the tenth part, even a small victory brings fame. || 3 || With a focused mind, one should perform the rituals. Even if small, the halls should be well-proportioned and pleasing to the mind. || 27 || Thus ends the beginning of the discourse on the Shala. At the end of the directions, the thirty-hall house is completed. || 1 || Regarding the bed and the seating: for the protection of the people, one hundred and ninety-six parts are divided, reduced by six. When the mantras of the Lord of Strength are absorbed in the front, the feet of the bed are purified. || 1 || By this measurement, the wood should be cut. It should be slightly more than a cubit original: "kalośā mātre". The height should be determined by the "Yoni" Yoni: in Vastu, a formula used to determine the orientation and dimensions for auspicious flow of the foot, not an inch more or less. || 2 || In a house divided by the "Fortune-Foot" Śrī-pad-dhinne, prosperity increases. One attains Fortune. On a bed made of sandalwood, a woman brings joy and the best of happiness. Life, beauty, and pleasure are found here. Regarding the Throne: it should be made without defects, according to the length and width prescribed by the sages. The wise know the three-fold division. It should be purified with offerings.
