...in the ocean of men, by the grace of the Lord, the golden vessel likely a ritual pot or finial should be placed with a steady mind. Thus ends the section on the Vedic Altar. ||34||
The Lamp Pillar Dipastambha: a free-standing stone or metal pillar used to hold oil lamps should be triple-tiered, pure, and well-proportioned. It should have two "breasts" referring to decorative moldings or brackets and be placed in a secret or secluded spot. For two days, one should observe the vows and perform the lighting of the lamp. This brings beauty and should be done with an offering of water to the ancestors. One should avoid any defects in the pillar to ensure the protection of the kingdom. ||35||

The winds of the south are suitable for the King. One should perform the rites properly from the beginning. The protector of the people the King should ensure the division of the rooms is auspicious for his daughters and family. ||38||
In a spacious house, the directions must be observed. A beautiful altar should be made according to the measurements. The learned ones who know the four Vedas say that the cow-shed and the eye of the house windows or focal points should be placed with great care. Without the proper destruction of defects in the pavilion, the King's position is at risk from enemies. ||39||
In the center, one should calculate the proportions. The sounds of the horses and the wealth of the granary depend on this. One should not work with excessive measurements, as it does not benefit the subjects or the prosperity. ||42||
A house lacking in proper proportions is merely a place of writing a mundane office; outside of the sacred measurements, there is no religious merit for the couple. This is the measurement for the bed and the seat of knowledge, which increases prosperity. One should not abandon the rules of the Shastras, whether for the master of the house or for the cattle. Sixteen parts are purified by the gods... ||44||
In the middle of the house, the power of the King increases. This brings the play of luxury and the fulfillment of desires. It is difficult to achieve without the proper foundation. The light of the sun and the beauty of the gods reside there. The abode of Lakshmi Goddess of Wealth is invited through the Cupid's Door Madanadvara: a decorative or ceremonial entrance. ||45||
Five parts for the serpents, five for the qualities, and twenty-six for the pillars. In the center, the wealth is placed. Above, the gods of fire and light reside. According to the scriptures, the ancestral rites should be performed in the dwelling. ||46||
In the middle, the cloth... with the serpents... twenty-one... with Rama... twenty. ||48||
The twenty-fold art... the lotus-like words... thus it is told. ||49||
The poet rejoices... nine-fold... the feet of the stage...
