In the seventh, they know of prosperity and what gain is seen; others say it destroys life or does not provide food. ||13|| The birth of a son and the fulfillment of religious duty Dharma occur when Jupiter is in the first; in the tenth, there is success in work and the fruit of fame. In the eleventh Labha, the work reaches completion; in the twelfth Rippha, one is diminished by many sorrows. ||14|| For the sake of a courtesan, one obtains the pleasure of excellent garlands and food when Venus Bhṛgu is in the Ascendant; there is gain in the second, and in the third, the enemies are destroyed and one attains great happiness. In the fifth, the arrival of a good friend; in the fourth the fourth house, there is honor for one's work in the home. In the sixth, there is defeat by enemies or, as others say, no gain at all. but ||15|| If Venus is in the seventh, there is the death of a woman; if unafflicted, one is especially happy and the work is accomplished. Even in the eighth or ninth, it quickly brings success. In the tenth, Venus gives abundant wealth; in the eleventh, victory and wealth; in the twelfth, this planet causes harm? by the weapons of others. ||16|| The Sun Arka in the Ascendant brings imprisonment and death; one suffers the loss of the invaluable and the destruction of strength. In the eleventh, there is victory and gain of wealth; from Saturn Manda in the twelfth, no wealth comes to the traveler. ||19|| Generally, they say that in the third and sixth houses, all malefic planets are auspicious for a king. Benefics produce auspicious results everywhere except in the birth house the Ascendant for one desiring victory. ||20|| Some say Rahu is like this also, except in the third house. Venus, Mercury the son of the Moon, and Jupiter in the ninth, third, or seventh houses are auspicious. The Moon in the eleventh, fifth, second, ninth, third, or tenth is worshiped. Jupiter Jiva in any position is wise and beloved, and even when not visible, he protects those dear to him. ||21|| According to one school of thought, Mercury the Knower is auspicious in the ninth, fifth, and eleventh houses.
