Starting from the first position and counting from the star Ashwini: the four stars starting from Ashwini are "Ascending Days." The four starting from Mrigashirsha original: "மிருகசிரம்" and the four starting from Ardra original: "திருவாதிரை" are "Descending Days." The four starting from Magha are Ascending Days. The four starting from Chitra and the four starting from Swati original: "சோதி" are Descending Days. The four starting from Mula are Ascending Days. The four starting from that point and the four starting from Shatabhisha original: "சதப" are Descending Days. Know this well. In the Ascending Days, one may build houses, mansions, halls, and temple towers. On the peak days, the roof-ridge may be set. One must not build on Descending Days; if done, the structure will collapse and fall into ruin. (22)

If a marriage is performed on these days, the woman will become a widow. If a house-foundation is laid, it will go to ruin. If a journey is undertaken, death will occur. If a girl reaches puberty term: ருது (Ritu) - the first menstruation, she will be barren. If a child is born, it will die. (24)
The second, fourth, sixth, eighth, and ninth days from the birth star
Are of great excellence; the others bring ruin, wealth-loss, or punishment.
The learned texts say the first, third, fifth, and seventh are weak;
All others mentioned as great will surely be compatible.
(Meaning): From the birth star (Janma Nakshatra), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 9th days are good. The 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th days are not compatible. Others are compatible. In this manner, divide the 27 stars into groups of nine. (25)

Choose an auspicious time (Muhurtha) on good days. (26)
