If the lineage of the grandparents is diminished, and the mother is afflicted,
O Lady, it is certain that the child will perish within three months.

(14)

If the lords of the seventh and second houses lose their strength,
And the Moon is positioned in the sixth house with low dignity, the leader's life will be cut short.
If the malefic planets occupy the rising sign the Ascendant or Lagna and the benefic planets become weak,
Life will be uprooted, and the death of the infant is certain.

(15)

If the Sun and Saturn join in the eighth house, and the lord of the eighth is in the seventh,
While the Moon is positioned in the third house, O Rama, consider this:
If the lord of the eighth is in a debilitated state or in the sixth house, it is a great blemish.
The child will be abandoned by life, like a lotus flower withering away.

If malefic planets stay in the eleventh house of gains,
And Saturn resides in the ninth, while Mars joins the fourth,
Even if the lord of the eleventh is a benefic, if the Moon is in the third,
The child will suffer greatly, and its happiness will be spoken of no more.

(17)

Even if the Moon is well-placed, if the Sun and the benefics
Are forgotten weak or poorly placed and malefic planets are dominant,
They will cause death to occur; this is the sign, O Rama.
Know that this thought is like the separation caused by Yama the God of Death.

(18)

For those born into this world, if the Moon, the Sun, and the benefics
Are without confusion strong and well-aspected, and the lord of the Moon's house
Is friendly toward the Earth well-placed in the chart, then life is assured.
Even if fierce fires of affliction arise, they will not be allowed to die, O Lady.

(19)

If one strong benefic is present, it will not allow the child to be lost;
If two strong benefics are present, what can the double enmity of malefics do?
The grace of the Goddess original: "Thiru-nala-manonmani" will be there, and the wicked shall not approach.
If four great benefics are present, the child will live as long as the Sun and Moon.

(20)

If the lords of the rising sign, Venus, and Jupiter, along with the Moon's lord, are well-placed,
And the cruel malefics—Saturn, the Sun, and Mars—are in the eighth house,
Even then, if these five are balanced in strength,
Consider the goodness therein and speak the sweet results, O Lady.

(21)

If the lord of the eighth from the rising sign and Saturn are in the eighth,
And the lord of that specific place is also weakened,
Then a great danger term: "Kandam" - a critical life-threatening period will surely occur.
But if they are placed in a compensatory manner, the child's life will remain stable.

In this way, the influence of the afflictions will lose its peak.
If those who were meant to perish remain alive, it is a truth.
If the planetary positions are good, they will act to provide benefits.
Even a small error in calculation can deceive the people of this ancient earth, O Lady.
