If the Sun original: "Iravi" joins with Jupiter original: "Guru" in the eighth house,
(32) know, O Lady, that great evil will follow and the child will surely perish.
If Saturn original: "Sani" and the Moon original: "Mathi" are joined, and Mars original: "Chevvai" stands in the seventh house,
while the Sun and Mercury original: "Punthi" are weakened,
and if Venus original: "Sungan" and Saturn are also ill-placed, the child born on this earth
(33) will not survive even a single day, O Lady.
If the Moon is waning and Jupiter stands in an enemy house,
if the Lord of the Ascendant original: "Vidhi" is weakened and Venus has set term: set (astronomical disappearance due to proximity to the Sun),
and if Saturn joins the Sun in the Moon's own house,
(34) the child will fall like a vessel overturned in a room, losing all hope of life.
If the full Moon is with Venus, and Saturn stands in the ninth house,
while Mars is in the Ascendant and the Sun stands nearby,
and if Jupiter is in the sixth house from Venus,
(35) and the Moon joins with Mercury, the infant will surely die.
If Rahu original: "Aravu" - the shadow planet/serpent stands with the Moon, and Saturn is in the fifth house,
while Mars is strong in the Ascendant and Venus is present there,
and if Jupiter is in the eighth house and retrograde,
(36) the child born will die within six months.
If you ask how death occurs: when Saturn and the Moon are in the Ascendant of Pisces original: "Udaya Meenam",
and if they are in enemy houses or in the house of death the 8th house,
it is certain that life will depart; if the planets are in debilitation or fierce enmity,
(37) death is inescapable when declared to the people of this land.
When the Lord of the Ascendant is lost, look to the Moon;
when the Moon is lost, look to Saturn;
when Saturn is lost, look to the Ascendant.
(38) If Saturn, the Moon, and the Ascendant are all afflicted, death is certain.
Just as for the Moon, one must examine the Ascendant and Saturn;
this is the grammar of fate as written in the ancient scrolls.
The signs of destiny never fail for those born on this earth;
(39) O Lady, listen closely, these signs on earth never prove false.
There is nothing beyond this; no matter how much else you examine,
all conclusions are reached by analyzing the Moon.
By looking at the Ascendant and Saturn together,
(40) one can predict the end of life at the very moment of birth.
