It is difficult to imagine. Similarly, in a situation where a seeker asks for the name of a thief, if the answer is accurate and the seeker reveals the astrologer's name to the thief (even if the goods are recovered by the police), enmity with the thief is certain. Therefore, such a seeker is also considered "untrustworthy" because they have breached confidentiality. Thus, anyone who might break the secrecy of the answer or misuse the prediction is categorized as untrustworthy. There can be many other types of untrustworthy individuals; therefore, an astrologer should always avoid answering their questions after careful consideration and must remain cautious about protecting confidentiality themselves—this is the intended meaning.
"Never in haste" original: "tvaritaṃ na kadācana"—The answer to a query should only be given after thorough reflection; otherwise, an answer given in a hurry or rush will certainly be erroneous, bringing ill-repute to the astrologer.
Those suffering from disease, debt, or distress are called the "wretched" and the "afflicted." Along with these, those who hold a sense of reverence for the astrologer but are poor must be answered by the Diviner (Daivajña) A knower of fate or a learned astrologer; otherwise, the astrologer will incur the curse of Saraswati The Goddess of knowledge and speech and their knowledge will perish.
Therefore, a King, holding flowers, gems, and fruits in his hands,
Having bowed in the morning and facing the East,
Should gather astrologers skilled in the limbs of Horoscopy and well-wishers,
And ask them all at once. || 8 ||
Having worshipped the planets along with their limbs and the astrologer devoted to his duties,
A man, full of faith, with full hands and a calm mind, should inquire. || 9 ||
He who inquires of the astrologer while offering fruits and flowers,
To him alone should the answer be told; then it becomes true, not otherwise. || 10 ||
Prose Order (Anvaya): Therefore, a King with flowers, gems, and fruits in his hands, having gathered astrologers who are skilled in the limbs of horoscopy and are well-wishers, should sit facing East in the morning, bow, and ask them all at once. || 8 || Having worshipped the planets (with their parts) and the astrologer who is devoted to his own rituals, a man who is undisturbed, with full hands and filled with faith, should ask. || 9 || To him who asks the astrologer while possessing fruits and flowers, the answer to the question should be told; otherwise, truth is not possible. || 10 ||
