...touches any part of one's own body. Then it is an indicator of special gain. If one touches the rest of the body with the left hand, excluding the left limbs, then the possibility of gain should be considered negligible. In the original MulaThe foundational root text, there is no specific mention of left or right. Therefore, since the right hand is predominant, it is appropriate to interpret the touching as being done with that hand.
If the querent asks while lying on the road, or while mounted on a swing, elephant, or horse;
If they ask without devotion, or without offering fruit or wealth, then it is an "Unconnected Query" Asamyukta-Prashna.
In such a query, gain and happiness occur only after many days. || 16 ||
Prose Order: Simple. || 16 ||
Commentary: If the person asking the question Prashta asks while walking on a path, or while lying in their bedroom or on a bed; or if they ask while swinging in a hammock, riding in a palanquin, in a lift, on stairs, or while traveling on an elephant, horse, camel, mule, chariot, bullock cart, bicycle, motor vehicle, or train; if they are devoid of feeling Bhava, or lack the customary offering of fruit or money Dakshina—then a question asked under such circumstances is "Unconnected." In this type of query, profit, happiness, and the fulfillment of the task occur only after a long duration.
Clarification: The eight types of queries discussed here clearly demonstrate the psychological background of the seeker. While a "Connected Query" Samyukta-Prashna indicates a balanced mindset, an "Unconnected Query" reveals an unbalanced and disorganized state of mind. In this situation, the person asking is careless and irresponsible toward their goal. There is a lack of mutual cooperation between their soul, mind, and senses, and they ask the question with only half a heart. The effort made by them is also half-hearted. Consequently, the delay in the success of the work occurs in proportion to the laxity of their effort.

If at the time of the query, the seeker touches the left side of the body with the left hand;
Then it is an "Afflicted Query," which results in no gain. || 17 ||
Prose Order: Simple. || 17 ||
Commentary: When, at the time of the query, the person asking touches the left part of their own body with their left hand, it is called an Afflicted Query Abhihata Prashna; its result is unprofitable. || 17 ||
The word "Abhihata" is an adjective formed by adding the prefix "Abhi" to the root "Han" to strike or kill and the suffix "Kta." The meaning of this word is—beaten, wounded, afflicted, or hurt. Therefore, in this type of query, one should understand that "the fruit of the question has been struck down."
