21. O seeker original: "pracchaka"; one who asks a formal divinatory question, this inquiry appears somewhat mediocre in its outlook. The gain of a son, an engagement, or employment will only occur with great difficulty under these middling conditions; that is to say, the profit is halted just as it is about to be realized. There is a loss of wealth or a stripping away of riches. It becomes difficult to achieve victory at the royal court original: "rajdwar"; likely referring to legal matters or government offices, and high status is not attained. One becomes anxious for the life of a loved one. Whatever work you contemplate, the thread of its progress is broken. Secret enemies strike from behind. There is one desire original: "manorath"; a heart's wish you have been considering for many days; it will happen only when God wills it. For now, you should perform some chanting and charity in the name of your personal deity original: "ishtadev" and the family ancestors original: "pitron". Through this, your desire may be fulfilled, what you long for may be received, life may be sustained, and your business may grow heavy with profit. You shall then find victory at the royal court, recover what was lost, and celebratory songs original: "mangalachar" will be sung. Without these acts of worship, no task will be set right and your work will remain mediocre. In the end, however, there is well-being.
