A boy or girl born at the very end of the Jyeshtha star or the very beginning of the Mula star, and similarly at the end of Ashlesha or the beginning of Magha, is considered to be born in Abhukta Mula Literally "un-enjoyable root," a highly inauspicious astrological period believed to bring bad luck to the family.
Special Note :- This period lasts for 7 1/2 ghadiyas A traditional unit of time; 1 ghadiya equals 24 minutes at the junction of the beginning and end of these stars. That is to say, a child born within three and three-quarters ghadiyas at the end of Jyeshtha or three and three-quarters ghadiyas at the start of Mula is considered born in Abhukta Mula. In the same way, the three and three-quarters ghadiyas at the end of Ashlesha and the three and three-quarters at the start of Magha is called Abhukta Mula. Among the Ganda Inauspicious junction stars, the transition between Revati and Ashwini also occurs, but these do not carry as much defect. Therefore, the sage Kashyapa did not mention them. However, the sage Narada described the junction of Revati and Ashwini also as Abhukta Mula.
For an infant born during the Abhukta Mula time, a Shanti A propitiatory ritual or peace-offering to negate evil effects must be performed one month later when the same star returns. Otherwise, the ritual must certainly be performed before nine years pass. By doing so, the individual and their parents will be protected from the inauspicious results arising in life.

If at the time of birth, a malefic planet is present in the birth star,
all good qualities become void; if joined by a benefic, even bad traits turn good. 20

If any malefic planet Papagraha - planets like Saturn or Mars believed to have a negative influence is present in the birth star at the time of birth, the auspicious results of that star (as mentioned in verses 11 to 18) will not occur. Instead, the inauspicious results of that star will increase. However, if a benefic planet Shubhagrah - planets like Jupiter or Venus believed to have a positive influence is in the birth star, the auspicious results will increase, and the bad results of an inauspicious star will decrease.
For Example :- It is said that a person born in the Ashwini star will be highly intelligent, wealthy, humble, wise, famous, and happy. If Saturn is present in that star, the aforementioned good qualities will become fruitless. The person born...
