The Lagna the Ascendant or the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth represents the self (the newborn child). The Moon represents the mother. Therefore, if both are influenced by malefic planets planets considered naturally unfavorable, such as Saturn or Mars, both the child and the mother will face death.
If Saturn is in the 12th house, the Sun is in the 9th house, and Mars is in the 8th house, and if there is no aspect the "glance" or influence of one planet upon another from benefic planets naturally favorable planets like Jupiter or Venus upon them, the person born will die.
In the aforementioned combinations, misfortune occurs only through the conjunction or aspect of malefic planets. However, if there is an aspect from benefic planets upon them, the misfortune is canceled (Arishta-bhanga).
If any one of Mercury, Jupiter, or Venus is positioned in a Kendra the 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th houses, considered the pillars of a horoscope, the Balarishta infant mortality or childhood misfortune of the newborn is destroyed, similar to how darkness is dispelled by the light of the Sun.
If Jupiter alone is powerful and situated in the Ascendant, he will destroy enemies and eliminate sins, just as offering a prostration to Lord Shiva original: "Shulinah," the wielder of the trident destroys one's sins.
When born during a night in the Shukla Paksha the bright/waxing half of the lunar month, if there is a benefic aspect on the Ascendant, all types of misfortunes are destroyed. Similarly, if born during the day in the Krishna Paksha the dark/waning half of the lunar month, even if there is a malefic aspect on the Ascendant, the misfortunes are removed.
