...from the hundred This refers to a calculation involving a base number of 100 to determine planetary strength or time segments., by subtracting the values of the moon, mountains, fire, arrows, seasons, and the gods. || 11 || Having understood this through one's intellect, [one looks at] the two positions of the Vishnupada literally "the feet of Vishnu," referring to the sun's entry into the fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius measured by the qualities of the arrows. The first is the moon’s crest, and the third is the day-affliction, which opposes the sun; beyond that, the day becomes auspicious and powerful. || 12 ||
Regarding actions involving kings, enemies, serpents, distress, travel, obstacles, and the removal of destruction—if the "cruel planet" a malefic planet like Mars or Saturn aligns with the order of the moon and the sun, it creates enmity; such a planet brings the hope of auspiciousness to an end. || 13 ||
In the dark and bright fortnights the Pakshas, the ritual timing proceeds according to the numbers of the earth, the oceans, wealth, fire, and the mountains. Among these, in the poisonous Ghatikas units of 24 minutes measured by five, three, seven, and four, which occur in the joints transitions of the day, the world suffers destruction.
The Nitya Yogas the 27 daily yoga combinations are brought forth by the combination of the day, the star, and the lunar day. Among these, the first portions of the following must be avoided: Parigha the iron club, Vyatipata calamity, Vajra the thunderbolt, Vyaghata beating, and Vaidhriti poor support. Likewise, Shula the spear, Ganda the knot, and Atiganda the great knot bring a "sleep" a state of powerlessness or failure to the world’s endeavors.

For the Lord of Speech Jupiter, the sixth and the twelfth; for the Poet Venus, the third and the tenth; and for the Son of Saturn, the ninth. These lunar days, when combined with these specific weekdays, are always considered "scorched" Dagdha, or spiritually burnt/inauspicious. || 16 ||
[The combinations continue with stars]: The Ancestors Magha, Death Bharani, the Friend Anuradha, the Two Physicians Ashvini, the Teacher Pushya, the Waters Purva Ashadha, the Lord of Creatures Rohini, the Architect Chitra, and the Serpent Ashlesha... [as well as] the Mountain-Lord, Vishakha, the Wheel-bearer, and the Lord of Waters. || 17 ||
Through the conjunction of the Sun and Jupiter with the stars of the Architect Chitra and the Waters Purva Ashadha, these combinations—while they may seem auspicious—are actually to be blamed and avoided in order. || 18 ||
The fifth lunar day combined with Krittika; the seventh combined with Rohini; the thirteenth combined with the star of Friendship Anuradha; the sixth combined with the star of the Lord of Fortune Shravana; and the eighth combined with the star of the Nourisher Revati on a Saturday. These are declared to be the "Arms of Poison" Visha-yogas.
