In the months numbered by the lands 10, the mountains 7, the earth 1, the eyes 2, the ripening 6 or 11, the eight 8, and the nine 9, the Tithis lunar days starting from the first are known as "Void" original: "Shunya" when they occur in the specific Paksha fortnight of the moon. In the sequence of fifteen, these are known to be particularly harsh from the second day onwards.

When the end of the year arrives, one should avoid the final five days, and also the three days at the beginning of the new year. For those seeking peace, the scholars say to avoid the latter fortnight. When the Sun is eclipsed original: "Uparagata", the life-force of the lord of the day is as if departed. || 54 ||
