Exceptions to the Six-Eight Rule

Marriage may be performed even in the Six-Eight relationship Shadashtaka; an astrological configuration where the bride and groom’s moon signs are six and eight signs apart, usually considered very unfavorable of Leo and Pisces original: "Simha-Meena". Marriage is permissible [in this case] if there is purity of the pulse-channels Nadi-shuddhi, purity of temperament Gana-shuddhi, purity of physical affinity Yoni-shuddhi, and if the star compatibility Tara-anukulya is mutually favorable.

If these purities are present, marriage may be performed in the Six-Eight relationship. Likewise, [this exception] should be known for the Six-Eight pairings of:

• Cancer and Sagittarius original: "Karka-Dhanvi"
• Aquarius and Virgo original: "Kumbha-Kanya"
• Capricorn and Gemini original: "Makara-Mithuna"
• Aries and Scorpio original: "Mesha-Vrischika" ॥ 43 ॥

The lords of the zodiac signs original: "Rashyadhipataya" should be known in order:

• Mars original: "Bhauma" rules Aries and Scorpio.
• Venus original: "Shukra" rules Taurus and Libra.
• Mercury original: "Budha" rules Gemini and Virgo.
• The Moon original: "Chandra" rules Cancer.
• The Sun original: "Ravi" rules Leo.
• Jupiter original: "Guru" rules Sagittarius and Pisces.
• Saturn original: "Shani" rules Capricorn and Aquarius.

॥ 45 ॥ Here, the Star Group Tarakuta and the Power of Attraction Vashya will be described. Among them, mutual stars that are even-numbered are auspicious. Odd-numbered stars, as well as the 9th, are [varied]. However, the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th stars [from the birth star] are inauspicious.

Regarding the "Human" signs Gemini, Virgo, Libra, the first half of Sagittarius, and Aquarius, they are mutually attracted Vashya to others, excluding Leo.

• Human Signs: Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.
• Water Signs: Capricorn, Cancer, and Pisces.
• Aries and Scorpio are attracted to one another and are not "prey" to each other meaning they do not have a predator-prey relationship in the astrological symbolic hierarchy.
• For Leo, all signs except Libra and Venus are [subservient].

When Jupiter original: "Guru" is situated in the 3rd, 10th, 11th, or 6th positions [from the birth moon], it is the cause for taking the hand in marriage Panigrahana for a girl.
