For the sake of prosperity, one should enter with a connection to the primary rituals, burning away obstacles with the fire of speech. ॥ 17 ॥ For a king returning to his own palace after a victory march, the Soft Mridu, Fixed Dhruva, and Swift Laghu-Kshipra stars Nakshatra; lunar mansions used to determine timing are auspicious for entry. Furthermore, if one enters during the "sharp" or "dreadful" stars, it leads to fear and unwanted results, except perhaps for Prince Vishakha or the wife of a god This likely refers to specific mythological or ritual exceptions. When entering during the Krittika star, the results are swift and intense.
Regarding the worship of the site-deity Vastu-puja: one should first offer a ceremonial water-pot Kalasha to the priests Brahmins. Then, in a new house, the entry should be made by decorating with festive archways Torana. The entry should happen when the birth-ascendant Lagna; the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon or the tenth house is strong, and when the "angular" houses The 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses in a horoscope, known as Kendra and "trine" houses The 5th and 9th houses, known as Trikona are free from the influence of malefic planets original: "papa"; referring to planets like Mars or Saturn that are thought to cause challenges. Specifically, the houses 1, 4, 7, 10, 5, 9, 8, 12, 2, and 7 should be considered. The angular houses should be occupied by benefic planets Soumya; gentle planets like Jupiter, Venus, or a waxing Moon. ॥ 71 ॥
Now, on the day before entering a new temple or house, one should perform the Vastu-puja according to the rules prescribed for the planets and the Sun. On the day of entry, place the festive archway Torana, the door-banner Dhvaja, and the full water-pot Purna-kalasha in front. Having honored the priests Brahmins, one should enter by keeping the auspicious side to the right. This refers to the "Pradakshina" or clockwise circumambulation of sacred objects/people.

The text becomes technical here regarding directions then in the South and other directions, one should create an eight-chambered wheel original: "ashta-koshthaka chakra". Starting from the ascendant, one should place the zodiac signs in the various directions. If the owner's birth-sign or birth-ascendant falls in an "improvement" house Upachaya; the 3rd, 6th, 10th, or 11th houses which signify growth, the entry is auspicious. Malefic planets are actually considered good if they are in the "improvement" houses. One should avoid the 12th house.
The malefic planets in the angles or trines are usually avoided, but benefic planets Soumya in the angles and trines are auspicious.
When the lord of the Ascendant, the lord of the Moon-sign, and the lord of the current planetary period Dasha; a span of time in a person's life ruled by a specific planet are strong, the coronation Abhisheka of the ruler of the earth should take place. The stars Jyeshtha and Shravana, along with those categorized as Swift, Soft, or Fixed, are ideal when benefic planets aspect original: "avalokita"; a planetary "glance" or influence the king’s planetary circle. ॥ 72 ॥ The coronation should be performed at the time of the king's birth ascendant, its lord, and the lord of the sign, especially when the current period Dasha is favorable. The king should be endowed with the strength of the ritual bath and other ceremonies; coronation should not be performed if the planets are "set" original: "asta"; meaning too close to the sun to be visible/effective. The lunar mansions Nakshatra to be used are Jyeshtha, Shravana, and the Swift, Soft, and Fixed groups.
The coronation should occur when a "fixed" sign Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius is rising. The king's coronation is successful if the ascendant is an "improvement" sign Upachaya relative to his birth sign or birth ascendant. The "Head-rising" signs Shirshodaya; signs that rise with their 'head' first, considered more powerful are Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Pisces rises sideways. Others rise "back-first" Prishthodaya. Malefic planets are best placed in the "improvement" houses (3, 6, 11). Benefic planets are best when they avoid the 10th house This is a specific technical exception for coronation. ॥ 73 ॥
For a journey Yatra, the following stars are favorable: Anuradha, Shravana, Ashwini, Pushya, Punarvasu, Revati, Hasta, and Mrigashirsha. A journey brings success when undertaken during these. However, one should avoid Swati, Krittika, Magha, the three "Purva" stars Purva Phalguni, Purva Ashadha, and Purva Bhadrapada, Vishakha, Bharani, and Ardra. These are considered inauspicious for travel, especially toward the West, as they do not lead to the desired goal. ॥ 74 ॥
