Yama is proclaimed, and likewise Nirriti the goddess of decay and guardian of the Southwest as well; Varuna god of the waters, Vayu god of the wind, Soma the Moon god, Isha a title for Shiva, and Brahma the creator are proclaimed as the creators. 204.
Indra, Brahma, Yama, Vayu, and Varuna are the Lokapalas the "World Protectors" who guard the various quarters of the universe. Ganesha, Durga, the Lord of the Field original: "kṣetraṃ" - referring to Kshetrapala, a protective deity of the site, Vasudeva a name for Krishna or Vishnu, and the Maruts storm deities as well. 205.
