If the Reversed Flow original: "viparīta"; refers to the breath flowing through the nostril that is chronologically or biologically inappropriate for that specific time of the channel is observed for three fortnights, the time [of death/distress] is known to be within a year.
If it occurs for six months, there is great suffering.
If it flows in reverse for one fortnight, there is great suffering for one's relatives.
If it flows in reverse for seven fortnights, there is the disease of distress for seven months.
If it flows in reverse day and night, there is conflict and mental agony.
Day 1: If the Sun Channel original: "Sūrya"; the right nostril flows for three Watches Prahara|A traditional unit of time lasting approximately three hours, there is a crisis within three years.
Day 2: If the Sun flows for one Watch, there is great suffering within two years.
Day 3: If the Sun flows, there is great suffering for one year.
In this same manner, if the Moon Channel original: "Candra"; the left nostril flows in reverse, there is great suffering.
If the Sun flows for [the duration of] two Watches in one month, there is suffering within that month.
If the Moon flows [similarly], there is a crisis within that month.
If the breath flows [irregularly] for two Ghatis Ghaṭī|A unit of time equal to 24 minutes, death occurs within four half-watches approximately 6 hours.
Knowing this, one who is situated in the Central Channel original: "sukhamane" likely referring to "suṣumṇā"; the balanced state where breath flows through both nostrils, associated with spiritual practice or in whichever channel is flowing: one should observe that breath, hold it within, and then place that [corresponding] foot from the bed onto the ground.
In this way, whatever work is performed, it should be done by following the turn of the breath.
If the Left Channel original: "vāma nāḍī" is flowing, then one should take the breath of the left channel and lead with the left foot.
In the same way, the Right Channel original: "dakṣana nāḍī" is to be understood.
When entering a house, the foot corresponding to the flowing breath should be placed first, [while] the breath is held.
