In the matters of the entry of breath Prāṇa|The vital life force or breath, if a messenger original: "dūto" speaks or stands while the breath is being inhaled, the realization of his purpose is achieved. If the breath is being exhaled, there is no success; of this, there is no doubt. [60]
When the Sun the breath in the right nostril is active, rain is lackluster; the Moon the breath in the left nostril produces well-formed results. Depending on the quality of these "rays" of breath, the messenger's mission is determined; it cannot be otherwise. [61]
Gain is found by men during the entry of breath, but no gain occurs during its exit. Success in one's work is certain during the inhalation; the exhalation brings only inauspiciousness. [62]
When the Moon-breath is combined with the Earth or Water elements, or when the Sun-breath is combined with Fire, then there is no doubt of success in any worldly or ritual undertaking. [63]
Even during the exhalation, the breath grants success if it flows in its own corresponding element. Whether in the Sun or the Moon, the union of the elements is the giver of all success. [64]
On the second day of the bright fortnight Shukla Paksha|The waxing phase of the moon, if the Moon-breath the left nostril flows, it is seen to bring gain to men; the Moon then becomes truly gentle and beneficent. [65]
Predictions regarding rain and the fruits of days and months are determined by the active element. Prosperity is found [in Earth and Water], while agitation and evil are brought about by the elements of Ether, Air, and Fire. [66]
As long as the Water element original: "Vāruṇa" flows, happiness remains stable...
